I just got my April box today, it’s pastels/charcoal, something else I’ve not used for ages. It forced me to paint for the first time in ages so that was ok I guess. I don’t like oils much unless they are the low irritant ones, and two of my paintings were total clusterfucks, but the giraffe turned out ok for a quick sketch. The first box was pens and pencils, second was opaque watercolour, third was oils. The Jazza box and the first two art boxes all came in a few days of each other after waiting for ages I’ve barely scratched the surface of the Jazza boxes, waiting for a bit of inspiration there, but the other boxes I’ve had a play with and incorporated the stuff into my art stash.

It’s been a long slow slog of a process though. Restrictions are lifted now currently in my city – and I have managed to get myself being creative in art again. Lockdown/covid, the state of the world, was (is) uninspiring and horrible.
